Howdy Ya'll,

Just signed up and got a 59 Escort wagon coming to Texas from California next week.........This will be the fifth english ford I've had. The others I've owned were sold long ago, one to a fellow who used to be or still is the English Ford club president.

I can't remember his name but seems his last name began with a P, seems to me I remember his name as sounding French for some reason. The car i sold him was a 59 Squire, all original baby blue car with no woodgrain siding from the factory.

If he's around or on this club site it would be neat to say howdy again :D

The car I'm getn' is actually for my step-son if he wants it but if he doesn't it's mine and will be his loss and my gain, if he doesn't want it we'll find him somthin' later.

Lookin' forward to chatn' with Ya'll

Rick

remembered his name

I just remembered his name....Bob Pare.

I googled his name and found out it's the right fellow.......I would guess he still has my old car and is on this forum isn't he?

Welcome to the forum, I'm not sure where everybody else is, maybe out driving their English Fords in the nice spring weather?

Hi Rick,

Bob Pare is the founder of NAFER (now EFONA), but he isn't on this forum. Bob sold all of his old cars some years ago and has moved on (though he is still a club member). Steve Broady was a very enthusiastic EFONA member in Portland OR, but he seems to have fallen off the earth a few years ago. I don't know if he still has his Engish Fords or not.

Looks like you and you son have yourselves a project! Keep us posted and welcome to EnFoStuff.

Hi Michael,

Thanx for the post, wish I knew how to get in touch with Steve.
Spoke with Bob a couple days ago, he confirmed what you said, he gave me a little update on what happened to my old Squire I sold him years ago.

That lil' wagon were getn' ain't really as rough as it looks, it's got a big upside........I'll post pics as I go.

Thanx again
Rick
