To an innocent bystander the photo below just looks like four torqued-down flywheel bolts. To this Enfo owner it represents the first progress on my project in several years. LOL. Finally got my friggin flywheel re-bolted to the crankshaft. Now onto the clutch, tranny & driveshaft.

On a side note, I don't recommend Harbor Freight Tools' "Pittsburgh" brand torque wrenches. :evil:

I can recommend my Powerbuilt one that I got from Lowes, I think.

Took another baby step in my project. Figured the gas tank was as good a place as any to go to next. Got that removed today. Considering the rust on the lower sections of the body, I was surprised that there was only a little surface rust on the tank. There was about a pint of gas in the tank which was mostly "varnish". Next steps... finish cleaning out the inside of the tank and assess the condition of the interior. Get that cleaned up & painted and run new fuel lines.

Haven't posted an update in a while on the world's slowest moving car project. I did finish cleaning (inside and out), treating and painting the gas tank. (Didn't take a photo of the finished product.)

I've been working on the cooling system but discovered that I had a leak at the shaft of the water pump. I obtained a new seal but the guy I got to press out the old seal broke the water pump. It took me a while but I located a rebuilt water pump. The next step will be to install the new pump and a new belt.

That should finish off the cooling system. I'm then going to do a test fire-up using an alternate fuel source. Haven't done one in a long while. Then I need to run a new fuel line (or section of fuel line) to get the gas tank hooked up.

Got the new water pump, new belt and newly painted fan & pulley installed yesterday. No leaks now. Also did a brief fire-up using starting fluid to make sure the engine still runs.

Next step is running a new/repaired fuel line and installing the refurbished gas tank.
