Hi Group, I recently stumbled on to this site and a few days later bought some Cortina wheels off a member local to me. I figured it wouldn't hurt to join and stay a bit more in touch with things.
I have been messing around with Cortina's off and on for at least 30 years now, as well as other British cars. Mostly sports cars but the odd Morris Minor and even a Sunbeam sedan decades ago. But the only English sedan I am interested in enough to currently own is the MK 1 Cortina. I have a couple of 4 doors , one a pretty decent survivor the other definitely more of a project. As well I have a truly horrible hulk of a MK 1 Lotus Cortina. It's my intention; delusion?, to at least turn it back into a car again. But it's going to be an uphill battle. I am also going to try to keep it to a reasonable budget so I am willing to deviate as circumstances dictate from strict origionality. Nothing undoable, just cost effective. It should be fun.
