Hello- my name is James and I am PUMPED I found you guys (and gals) and this site! Happy to be here!

Back a few months before Christmas, I picked up a 1961 Anglia 105e. Looks almost 100% original and I am excited about it's potential. Currently not running but hope to change that VERY soon.

I am sure I'll be posting/asking questions here along the way.

Anyone around here near Omaha??

Welcome, James. You definitely came to the right site for helpful advice. There are many members here that own 105Es includes myself.
Please continue posting pictures on your restoration progress. Pete

Did some cleaning, cleared out the trunk. I'd love to recover the seats. I'm thinking PLAID!!!

I've always liked early 60's Fords.....Falcon, Ranchero, Galaxie, Fairlane, F100, etc. I love the body lines on my 1961 Anglia. Can't wait to really get into it.

What is the bolt pattern on my Anglia? 4x4.25" (4x108)?

That's about the right bolt pattern.

According to the parts book : 1960 March starts with 107058 to 130739 April 1960. So 126316 and 120593 falls between those built dates. Model 106E LHD.

Horn location should be near the radiator on early models. Pete

Thanks Pete!! That's good to know!

I love having you guys and this page as a resource now.

When I got the car the seller told me; "There's a kit in trunk to convert it to RHD."

Was he talking about this (steering rack?)?Image

Mostly what i see. Track control arms, struts, traverse bar. There would be more parts that are only for RHD models. i.e. steering box. Pete

If you have an original wheel to the car,
it'll have a month/year code stamped on one of the
ears that hold the hubcaps on.Mine's stamped 4/60.
Many of these were registered as to when
they were sold.A '60 could be registered as a '61.
This was pretty common back then.

Hey everyone!

FINALLY got the Anglia out of the garage and now its over at my friend's work shop to get some MUCH deserved love and attention!!

I will post our progress. I will definitely be searching the "for sale" section and posting to the "wanted" ads.

Hoping to be driving the little monster by the end of the summer!

Looks like we are in need of a water pump and new engine gasket set.
