Hello all - I just found this forum while doing a google search on classic Ford related stuff!
It's nice to see English Fords from a different perspective here on this site so I think I'll be checking in regularly.
I've got a 2 door mk2 escort and a 2 door mk2 cortina both off the road and needing some love (caused by English weather!)
I'm a rebuilder of engines, gearboxes and axles for Cortinas / Anglias / Escorts and Capris etc so I guess I'll be following those type of posts mostly!
Photos are of mine, my brothers' and my dads' car(s) although some have gone onto to pastures new. They've all been daily drivers at one time or another but my favourite was my Dad's car which is the purple Mk2 Escort in the photos - it was a pleasure to drive and look at!

Even though I have to Fix Or Repair Daily I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Vauxhall!

I'm not but I see a few of the guys posting on various forums so have learnt a lot from them!NYCAccountant wrote:Welcome welcome! Are you in the MK2 cortina club in the U.K. As well? Those guys are a massive wealth of knowledge
Thanks but I feel like an intruder/gatecrasher!peteleo wrote:Welcome. Good to see more oversea members joining the site.
You're right - it was my brothers - had a fuel-injected crossflow engine with a single 40 dcoe-style Jenvey! Also had a capri (Mercury to you guys in NA?) steering rack conversion and Anglia 105e rear axle etc. It was the mutts' danglies!Brett Wilkie wrote:I see a lone 100e in the mix?
Thanks very much!!Kiwi Cortina wrote:Welcome to the site.
