New to the forum

Post by tombungay »

Hi everyone! I am new to the forum, but not new to Cortina's. A Locort was my first car out of high school, purchased from Winter Motor Company in Sacramento, CA. I have owned maybe 15 or so since then. I worked for Bean back in the Santa Barbara days. Recently sold a Mk1 estate on BaT and currently have a LoCort race car and a GT driver with air conditioning! 8)

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the forum.

I drove my 124E up to Winter Motors in the 70's for parts once or twice for parts. They usually had a Cortina or an occasional Anglia for sale. Usually went to S&C as it was closer to Half Moon Bay.

Ken runs the parts dept. now at Beans in San Andreas. It's long changed since the Santa Barbara days.

Was that your MK1 Estate with the Lotus engine. It had quite a few bids.
Super car !

What took you so long to come aboard.

Welcome Tom.

The Mk1 estate was great looking car and got the BAT ENFO talking. I have a couple of Mk2 GT's and a Mk1 Estate. Look forward to seeing pics of what you have.
