Hello, my name is Jim and I'm from Chicago land. I love older cars and making each car your own. I am currently interested in a Ford Taunus 17m p2. I love the way it looks and would like to restore it as close to original as I can. I know it will be a BIG task, but I'm up for it! Does anyone know anything about the Taunus and common problems that are encountered when restoring something like this. i forgot to mention, this would be my first restoration...ever!

Hi Jim, welcome to EnFoStuff. I suspect that the most common problem with these cars is rust. Do you have one or are you thinking of buying one? (easier said than done).
