Thanks, works out just about $700 cdn for 2 tires….
I’ll keep looking but thanks for the lead, I had heard that 13” tires were like rocking horse poop, just maybe some truth to that..

I found it to be quite difficult to find performance 13 inch tires in North America so I ended up buying mine out of the U.K. I think this firm might have changed hands in the meantime but this is it now, I ended up with these 5.5 x 13 wheels and 185 x 60 x 13 tires. I have yet to put them on my car but I have no reason to think that they will let me down.

Thanks Brett, I’ll take a look. I also found a company in the States called Priority Tire, selling Tornel 205 60 13 tires, never heard of them and these are a little wider than I wanted for the Mk1 but at $130 each which includes shipping is either a good deal or an indication that they are shite…..

Ps. Several around, shipping seems to be the main expense.
I have 205 60 13’s on my Mk1 Gt and my MK2 Gt, MK2 is fine, Mk1 rubs the front inner fender seam on the odd occasion. If I was brave I’d try and bend up the inner seam ala Lotus, but I don’t want to crack the paintwork.
