Wow, it is so similar the the Mk3 Cortina, I wonder why they even went to the trouble of making those detail changes like the tail lights? I remember back in the 70s there were tons of the Mk3 Cortinas running around Vancouver.

Actually quite a bit different - the side creases are more defined on the Taunus,
& the rear is different,although they look alike,if you see them separately.
I had a MKIII.Sold it to Micheal MacSems.He could be convinced to sell it.

Yes it is true that the sheet metal and other things are different but the whole package looks so similar that it hardly seems worth making those detail changes, a lot of money could have been saved.
