'63 LC Clone

Post by peteleo »

Nice restoration. Clearly not a LC clone. Identify it more as a MK1 GT clone and would remove the Lotus badges.

Of course there were no pre airflow LHD Loti. I feel this is a tad expensive for what it is.

Not the first time this has been to the dance...

I politely (politely for me at least :D ) requested more info on the car.

"Nice car but you really need to stop using "Lotus" anywhere in the ad - that is wholly incorrect, Clone is also incorrect - call it what it is - a Cortina.

That said, I am interested in the car so would like to see all the photos of the restoration, invoices, service records etc.

Also need to see the build sheet on the engine as well as the dyno printout.

Thanks."

Holding my breath here.

That one bid up to $24,250 with reserve not met on BAT just before Christmas. Extensive dialog with the seller & typical BAT commentary from the peanut gallery might yield further info ?
