Ford 1500cc Kent/Lotus Cortina Pre-Crossflow Engine Parts - $50 (sunnyvale)
These are 1500cc Ford Pre-Crossflow Engine parts, as used for Lotus Twincam, early Cortina, etc.
Block: Bare block with main bearing caps, cam, timing chain cover, rear main seal housing and oil pickup. Bores measure 3.244". Not an "L-block". Block has no visible damage (broken lugs, cracks, etc.) Currently at 0.060" oversize. Some surface rust in bores as shown. Block and cam: $100
"The last of the 1500cc non ‘L’ blocks, originally fitted with 6 bolt crank, usually bores to 83.5mm OK. Requires relieving for clearance if fitted with a Lotus crank. Round main caps."
Head: 1500GT head (repaired via welding between cylinders 2 and 3) $50.
Crank: 2731E crankshaft- this is the rare 1500, six bolt crank. Allows use of the improved lip style rear main seal. Mains are -.020, rods are -0.10. Spun bearing at #1 rod requires regrind. $150.
