Regretfully, I've decided to post my 1970 Cortina Mk2 1600 for sale. It's been sitting in a climate-controlled garage since my purchase in 2019, and it's time to offer it to another English Ford enthusiast.

I bought the Cortina from a Ford specialist in the U.K., who had reportedly purchased it from the original owner. Other than one repaint in its original Fern Green, the car looks as if its 62583 km (about 39,100 miles) might be accurate, but there's no way to tell, and there's no way for me to confirm its mileage.

The exterior and interior are in much better than average shape for a car of its age. The bodywork is straight with no dents, dings, or corrosion. The interior is likewise in very good shape- the headliner, door panels, dash pad, and upholstery all look well-cared for. Non-stock items include the wood dash and door cappings.

The car is currently not running or registered. It is being sold with a bill of sale only, though it has been inspected and cleared by the NC DMV. My asking price is $6,000, which I feel is reasonable for a complete Mk2 Cortina in very good condition. Bring your trailer and take her away!

That looks very solid, it is interesting to see that it has the very early high dash like my old 67 Lotus Cortina.

seems like a great deal from what we can see , I,m thinking the dash top is an abs topper like you I much prefer the early dash I bought a 68 gt from the original owner locally. here in the Bay Area back in the 80,s ran great and was completely rustfree but the paint and everything on the inside was completely baked from being out ih the heat all its life , I sold it to Clyde fora few hundred dollars who most of you know on here .

Yes, there are still some good deals out there that come up now and then, tempting to collect more cars but need a bigger garage and wallet.

Nice looking car. Obviously, it's had the dash swapped out for a series 1 car and what I can see of the seats, they look like they may have been swapped out as well. That is a good price. GLWTS
