Here is a picture of my 1972 Mk III Cortina L 1600. I bought the car this summer from fellow member Doug Milota. It is originally from Victoria, BC. It currently has about 78,0000 miles on it. This photo was taken at ECAIP 2007.

You car still looks great, I see back in your 2007 post that you had 78000 miles on her. What is she up to now??

The very first car I remember my parents having was a red MK3 Cortina Estate, yours is a lovely example :)

Brett, your question sent me out to the carport to check the mileage on the Cortina --78,518. I think when I said 78,000 a few years ago I was rounding to the nearest 1,000 but still... Frankly I'm a bit frustrated with the car. I've driven it less than 1,000 miles in seven years and have spent over $2,000 in repairs and the car is in worse shape now than when I bought it. (Which doesn't mean it isn't the nicest Canadian spec Mk III Cortina 1600 in existence).

Love the scenic breakdown shot - I have been in that exact same position with the Taunus, but not in a place as scenic.
