Ford Fiesta with 1600 crossflow

Post by ctmandu »

Picked this up a month or so ago and am working on fixing it up and adding smaller bumpers as the US ones are way to ugly. 79 Ford Fiesta with 1600 Kent Crossflow.

They are great little cars, I had rusty one years ago that was given to me with a dead cylinder (burnt valve). I rebuilt it with a Shadbolt cam, 1300 pistons, header and carb mods. The suspension had been done a bit with bigger bars so it really handled well, even with the stock wheel/tires. It was also a great utility vehicle, I remember filling it with mountain bikes for a trip to Whistler Mountain.

That turned out well, I wish that I could get my act together and do the body on my car.
