1958-60 Taunus 12M and 17M Images

1959 Taunus 17M Station Wagon: Unlike the English Ford Line for 1959 (or arch rival Opel) Ford seems to have spent almost no money on advertising the Taunus in North America. This ad, which is actually part of a piece of sales literature is a rare exception.
The Taunus didn't arrive in Canada until the Spring of 1959, about 18 months later than in the USA. However the Taunus 17M brought along its baby brother, the 12M (with the 1500 OHV engine). The 12M wasn't introduced to the USA until the spring of 1960.
