Mk III catalogs

Post by IFHP »

Martin –

It must be a little frustrating to have collected so many Mk III catalogs from all over the world and to see how similar they are. It seems like only Canada and Australia had really unique pieces.

Here is an interesting link to a blogger who worked for J Walter Thompson on the European Ford account in the early ‘70s. An interesting story even if his description of the differences between the TC Cortina and Taunus is inaccurate.

 sometimes it is little bit boring - the 1971/71 launch nad 1973 facelift - the catalogues are very similar, but every country has also some specific brochures. As you wrote Canada, Australia, and South Africa - they are completely different.
.....many thanks for the detail cortina spec for canadian market - also interesting to know that was possible to buy it in some small US territories
1971 Cortina Mk3 1,6OHV XL - virtual car
