This Anglia ad dates from September, 1954 and is the oldest American 100E ad in the IFHP collection. Ford sold a grand total of 1,622 English Fords in the USA in 1954. The American 1954 Ford station wagon is a nice touch.

1955 Anglia: This advertisement is from the New Yorker. Note the "English Ford" script added below the "Anglia" badge over the grille. Has anyone seen one like this?

This 1957 Canadian ad predicts the coming wave of popularity for European cars in the late 1950s.

Another bright 1959 Anglia advertisement. There were at least five color ads produced by the EFLO for 1959, two Anglias, one Prefect, one Escort and one ad showing all the 100E models plus the Consul.

The best year for English Ford sales in the U.S. was 1959, with 42,413 units sold. A series of color advertisements and the new English Ford Line Operation (EFLO) suggested the level of optimism for the future of these cars in the USA. Sadly the optimism proved unfounded.

1959 101E Prefect. With sales of 42,413 units, 1959 was the peak of
English Ford popularity in the USA.

1959 Escort: The station wagon version of the 100E Anglia was known as the Escort. This is one of at least five colorful English Ford Line ads from 1959.
