English Ford dealer in Miami

Post by stanchfi »

I just ran across this article:

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=2p ... %2C3114424

It got me wondering if anybody had a list of English Ford dealers, and if so, how many of them still exist?

When I got my Anglia it still had the dealer sticker, with their address on the trunk. The is currently a dealer at the same location, but when I called they had no idea, saying the current dealership had only been there a few years, and they didn't think there was a dealership there previously.

This link will take you to a copy of July 8th ,1966 of Life Magazine. There is a MK1 Cortina ad with a list of all of the dealers. You may need to scroll to page 72. You may also need to increase the size of the image by using the magnifying glass at the top. I really enjoy looking for information on the
English Ford dealers. The list is great and it shows why there are so many
Cortinas in California. There are by far many more dealers shown in California.

Wasn't quite that easy. They left out Hill and Sanders Ford, 1114 Vermont Ave, N.W. Washington D.C. Last I checked they were still in business, Joe.

My father bought his '69 Deluxe (my first Corty) at Schilling Ford in Memphis TN on Union Ave. They closed a few years back, but they disavowed the English Ford line when I tried to buy parts in the early 80's - I still have the leather key holder though.
