dashboard knobs 59 Anglia

Post by bevb »

:?:
I quess I should introduce myself I am a new proud owner of a 59 anglia This was the first car I owned and took my drivers license in. My son and husband and myself are restoring it although it is very solid and the seats are just faded not torned.

I haven't seen a 59 anglia since about 45 years ago. Can anyone tell me what the knob on the dashboard that has an "S" on it is??? It is next to the key switch Beverly

I assume this is a 100E (or 101E anyway)? There were three knobs on this model: either side of the ignition switch were the wipers (W or an arc to represnt the wipers' sweep), starter (S or an image of a starting handle), and on the other side of the instrument cluster, lights (L or a stylised headlamp). The starter was a pull switch.

Wow I don't remember that but it has been a long long time. So you pull it out like the choke. I know the "C" Is choke but never remembered the
S to pull it to start it. Boy what a difference time makes Thank you Bev
