Anglia Vin

Does anyone have a source to decode the vin plate on a Anglia?
I purchased a car that was listed as a 64 but I think it might be a 66.
Also-Did all 1966 cars sold in the USA have the 1200cc engine.

Thanks
Ken

Ken,

VIN info can be found in the Anglia Parts list 1959/-.
I can give you that info. Just list all the info from the Ford product tag on the RH inner fender near the battery. Also the vin # on the tag should match the # scratched on the RH side top strut tower brace.

After 1964 all Anglias that I have seen in California were 124E models. Meaning they were LHD deluxe two tone models with the 1200cc engine. Though Michael MacSems may have some info on import #s to the US and Canada.

Cheers,
Pete
