Anyone ever heard of one of these? Or if they are legit? Supposedly shipping container damaged, Ford shipped to H/M, tops cut off (they look like probably wagons), cages welded in...and they did what with them? Thanks

Holman-Moody were involved in building any type of race car starting in the 50's and probably the biggest name in U.S. racing. They were in the same scope as Alan Mann Team in England.
If this is an actual Cortina built by H-M is hard to say. The I.D. tag is secured by a rivet and screw anyone could of popped that on. So that alone isn't enough proof.

I am very aware of H/M, worked on the 69 Super Comp Mustang built by them back in the day..
I saw the same ID tag, it's just odd there's no published history. The car looks like a safari car, who knows if they really built them. I guess calling H/M would be the next step.

The story I read somewhere on the interweb was the H/M boys got a few Cortinas, cut the roofs off 'em, added a rollcage and romped 'em around the H/M grounds for kicks.
One of 'em showed up on ebay within the past year. It was a Mk2.
