replacement for 1.17 liter Ford flathead 4

Happy New Year, ENFO members
hmmm, start the new year learning that
my stock English Ford 1.17 liter engine
is kaput, worn out, needs rebuilding...
Does any one have a running take out
Ford 1.17 liter?
Other than blown and injected V-8s,
does any one have any practical suggestions?
A newer English Ford engine, perhaps an
overhead valve unit?
a small diesel?
some other English or Japanese engine?
A motorcycle engine with a trans that
uses shaft drive?
can't go much more horsepower as I still
have the cable operated Lucas brakes.
