Hi Guys,
I read somewhere that not all british fords had a vin#. Can anyone tell me where the vin# should be located on the Anglia 105e?

All cars have a VIN including the Anglia 105E which is engraved on the R/H strut top mount also a tag riveted on the inner fender near the battery on some models.

On the early 105E's,it was the same as the engine number.

Strictly speaking, it isn't a VIN number, or even a Chassis Number, although it will do for either. It is the original Engine Number; Ford didn't use Chassis Numbers back then. Obviously, over time, engines are changed so if your car has matching Engine and Chassis numbers, it's one up for originality!

Sorry - but I don't believe that's any such thing as a
1959 Anglia 105E in the USA.I have a '60 105E -
serial # 126316,which was registered as a '61.

There is a 1959 105E in the USA, well I'm assuming it's still there! It was probably a pre-production car with some unique trim that never made it to production, think the guy that owned it is called Lee. He has been on here and was trying to sell it a while ago, it was pretty solid. I think it was possibly sent over by Ford Great Britain for testing and then used for road tests by magazines. It's even older than my 105E.
