I bought a set of 185/70R13 tires for the Cortina wagon.
The steering seems to be really heavy.
What size tires are you running/are happy with?

They should be fine. On both my V8 Mk1s I ran 205/60/13s and they were fine. Are you sure it's not something else that is amiss?

185s are wider than stock so might be part of the problem.
Also, different tire designs/tread patterns have different rolling resistance. It might be the tire itself. You might try increasing the tire pressure to the max sidewall rating. Might help.
