Lucas repo dist. rotors

Post by peteleo »

Just want to let everyone know regarding distributor rotors with the troublesome rivets that may short circuit.
I've seen these being offered on ebay and are junk. I've just posted an article on early Lucas rotors on my blog: http://englishfordparts.blogspot.com/

I haven't used one myself, but I know of other people here in the UK who have had problems with new rotor arms.

While we're on the subject of inferior parts, October edition of Hot Rod magazine did an article on " Don't get burned by counterfeit parts" Talks about products actually marketed and sold with copied Logos. These fake products mainly come from China or Hong Kong. Here are some of the products to watch out for: MSD, Flowmaster, Automotive Racing Products,
Comp cams, Autometer, etc. and fakes can be found listed on ebay.
