Convertible Cortina

Post by Bob_S »

I never new that anyone produced a convertible Cortina. I wish they would have imported them to the USA. I wonder how they drove and if they made any GT version?

Pretty nice car, Crayford did conversions on a number of Fords cars.

I believe they used a slightly modified Mustang roof in the conversion. There used to be one running around in Hollywood, CA about 10-15 years ago. Right hand drive, though.

There were GT convertibles and indeed at least one Mk2 Lotus version. I believe Crayford also built a number of Cortina Mk1 convertibles. Plus of course they made Corsairs as well which is a nice looking car.
