Did not know him either. Looked him up. Apparently he came from Holland and passed away Feb 20. in Canada. He was known for collecting classic cars. Did he own any EnFos' ? Pete

Jan is mentioned in some topics in this forum and also some pics of his cars are shown .
He was more into the German line of Fords and i don't think he owned any English Ford .
He was a truly Ford collector and co founder of the Taunus M club in the Netherlands .

Harrie,

Thanks you for posting this. I met Jan at the Ford of Canada centennial in 2004. He brought his Dutch spec P2 Taunus 17M. We talked on the phone a few times since then. A very nice man (although with his strong accent a bit hard to understand). In addition to his two P2s and his P3, he told me he also had a Mk II Zephyr in his garage.

I can confirm Jan past away on the 20th of February. I am Jan's nephew and together with my mother the only living relatives of Jan.

It's comforting to see the messages here. Through the last few months we've had a lot of people telling nice stories about Jan.

Jan owned 3 Taunus cars:
- 1959 Taunus P2 17m Wagon
- 1960 Taunus P2 17m De Luxe 4 door saloon
- 1961 Taunus P3 17m De Lux 2 door

In addition to the cars he had a large inventory original Taunus parts (enough to rebuild a couple of them).

In the past he had an old MKII Zephyr, but sold it off when he moved to a new location.

Unfortunately, we are unable to maintain the collection that Jan used to own, so if people are interested in some spare parts for their Taunus cars, please send me an email.

Hi Amir,

Nice collection. Is that a Washington plate on the station wagon?
