Post by stanchfi »

I have put together a page of available books about English/European Fords.

http://astore.amazon.com/enfostuff-20

I've included out of print books, because used copies may be for sale.

If you know of any books I have missed, please let me know.

James,

Thanks for doing this. Just a reminder to members that there are reviews for some of these books in the "Reviews" section of the EnFoStuff forum. I will be adding more in the future (and so can anyone else).

Bargin on new Zephyr book

Post by IFHP »

This looks like a great deal on the latest Graham Robson book, which happens to be on the Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac. The is a pre-order deal from Amazon. The book won't be out until Feb 08.

Robson's new Capri book

Post by IFHP »

Man, this guy is busy! Just found out that he has a book on the Capri coming out in May. Not quite as good of a pre-order price though.

I have a copy of the Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac book by Graham Robson as it has been on sale here in the UK since the summer. That is a very good pre-order price from Amazon. I have only glanced through the book rather than read it thoroughly. However a friend of mine who has a business specialising in the Mk1/2 Fords did tell me that there are a number of mistakes. There are a number of books on English Fords which have been available over the years, when I find some spare time I'll try and list them. I am also a collector of model cars (have over 4,000) and if anyone wants to know if a model has been made of our lovely Euro Fords I will be pleased to try and find out.

thanks!

I just added the Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac book and the capri book to the list.

105EPaul - Sounds like a great collection of models, we'll keep you in mind as a reference.

Thanks again

Consul Zephyr Zodiac Book

Post by IFHP »

Much to my surprise, my copy of the Robson CZZ book arrived here today (about two months ahead of schedule).

It looks good. Lots of good pictures, some that I haven't seen before. I did notice one mistake right off -- there is a picture of a UK-built Zephyr pickup, wrongly identified as a Austalian ute (they are quite different). I am interested to see how this book compares to the Michael Allen book on the same subject published some 20 years ago. Unfortunatly, I can see already that there is very little in this book on export cars and markets -- which was a huge part of the car's sucess.

Cortina Book

Post by IFHP »

It looks like this might be a re-release of the Cortina book he published ten years ago. I'll have to check the number of pages in my copy to see if anything has been added. At $23. this is a good deal.

$212 - $215 for a used one?Maybe I'll sell mine,& buy the
paperback.
The new one has 160 pages - the old one 158.Good referance book
& a fair price (the new one).
