I'm very excited to announce that after a lot of work on my part, I've finally finished www.michaelsvintageracing.com! Please take a moment and check out the site on your desktop and/or mobile. I'd love to hear any and all feedback as I built the site myself and want to make it as good as it can be! Thanks in advance and I hope you enjoy looking around!

-Mike

And don't worry, there are some English Fords in the mix! :D

Looks very good, I have no knowledge of setting up websites but yours seems to be clearly laid out unlike some I have been on.

Thanks guys, I'm glad it's easy to navigate and understand. And believe me, I have little knowledge of setting up websites either! :D

Great job on the website. According to the race schedule on the site you're going to be in my neighborhood in mid-September, at NJ Motorsports Park. Maybe I'll look into getting tickets for that event.

Thanks, hope to see you there! It's always been a fun event in the past.

Impressive website. I know it takes work to get it just right. I see that most of your racing cars are EnFo powered. Pete

Thanks! I'm glad you liked them, they were really fun to film! :D

Thanks, it was quite a bit of work. I'm happy to have it (mostly) finished and active, though!

You're right, almost everything we have now is Ford-powered. The only holdouts at this point are the Lola and Elva MkIV (Climax), two Juniors (BMC A-series), and the MkI Courier (BMC B-series). My MkIV Courier will have a Ford 1500cc pre-crossflow as well when it's finished!

I received a bit of feedback elsewhere that the menu buttons were a bit "dated" looking, so I smoothed things out a little. Here is the new layout:

And here is the old:

Thoughts?

I stuck with a version of the yellow banner, but also kept the color-change when floating over the menu options. I think it's pretty slick!

I tried something else to "liven up" the look of the site and would like some input: I added some photos to the backgrounds of the home, services, and drivers pages. I can't tell if they cause a bit of visual overload, though. I was thinking maybe something with a parallax effect to reduce the number of photos on "taller" pages, but I haven't gotten it to work right yet. Thanks!
