Capri I

Post by Welshie »

Does anyone on here have a Ford (Mercury) Capri 1? I'm looking to buy one and having a hard time finding out much about them here in the US.

This guy (Norm) is prolly the largest Capri parts seller in the world, so that would be a good starting point.

Plus, there is an outfit here in Phoenix that specializes in selling Capris. I haven't had a chance to find them yet, but a Google search may help. I will try later when I finish up my chores.

Thanks Gary, I have emailed them. I saw that red one but it's a racer and I want a road going version. Incidentally I found this one relatively near me (about 4hrs), is it worth getting even as a parts car?

Thanks for that! The one in San Francisco looks good, though it has the impact bumpers. Are they hard to swap for the chrome ones?

Also, how do you browse Craigslist nationwide? I can only search in local areas, and if I try "Capri Craigslist" it doesn't bring anything up like you found either.[/url]

Looks better than a parts car to me, but at that price it would yield a ton of useful bits and bobs. Just the windshield would cover the cost...

I use searchtempest.com doesn't always get a the latest up to date stuff or all of it but better than looking at each region separately

Great, thanks for the info guys! If it's still available will go and look at it later in the week. Gotta find somewhere for it first.
