Needs to be done before the windows go back in I assume?

That's what I assume too, notice it was tucked slightly under the windshield rubber and over the doors where the weather cord gets installed.
Above the quarter windows there are these spike strips (black) do those need to be removed prior to install, I'm going to paint the interior of the car and Im wondering if they should come off first..
