Forgot to mention that it was Bill Grant's old car and is fitted with a 302 and a 4 speed.

Looks good, Gary. I can only imagine that it would be a blast to drive. Would this be the only MK3 RHD in N. America ? Pete

Gonna get it painted as the paint has all fallen off. I have only ever seen one other MK3 here and that was a Zephyr 6 that had been imported. They were never sold new here in the States or Canada. There was one offered on this forum many years back but it was rusted beyond economic repair.
It needs a tune up but I think it's going to be a lot of fun. BTW, I tried to buy this car in 1992 and was unsuccessful. Patience, my friends...

This one was imported from Australia, I believe.

Congratulations Gary! I remember this car when Bill Grant had it in the late 1990's. There are a handful of Mk IIIs that I have heard about in NA at one time or another but many of those vehicles may be gone by now. Yes the car was brought in from Australia but would be a Dagenham import.

Mike, I actually have a photograph of this car from 92 when I tried to buy it from Bill. I surprised him with a scan of it last year and now I have the car!

I am not sure although I was told he has moved. So it might be gone. I could email him if you like.

I just finished tidying up the interior. As delivered no lights were working on the rear, but that has been mostly sorted. Rear brakes are dragging a little so I will tweak them. Then it's off to the mechanic to change all fluids and then I can register it. Finally, it needs a complete re-paint. My Morris convertible is in the paint shop right now so I will wait til that comes back.

Also, I just found a pic of the only other MK3 I have seen in these here United States, as mentioned earlier.

Wow, thanks for posting a a photo of the Mk III Zephyr 6. How old is the photo?
I remember seeing a white Mk III Zephyr (can't remember if it was a 4 or a 6) driven by two grey haired woman on the Seattle waterfront in 1978.

That photo is from the mid 90s, best I can recall.
