Good evening from South Africa. I'm currently stationed abroad, and so far got a 105E saloon for the Mrs.

but despite my best efforts to track down a Mk1 Escort saloon, the best I can find is a Mk1 Estate @ $5k (reportedly restored circa 1996, original 1300 engine) or a Mk2 sport @ $3k - unconfirmed if a real sport, incorrect paint. What thinks the brain trust here - Mk1 Estate or Mk2 coupe? I'll inspect this weekend, for now lets presume similar condition, rust not a concern. Hot rod wagon run-about for my young family, or an Alfa slaying Group 4 tribute?
Thoughts & opinions welcome! I'd buy both if I could, so pick a side!
