Not that important. In the Brit mag Practical Classics they printed a lengthy response to his overheating problem. However he has done most of the things they suggested except they forgot one thing. Can you trust a temp gauge on a MK2 Zephyr after all these years. I suggest an aftermarket one to be sure or one of those temp sensor gun thingies.
My MK1 with Mays head and triple Webers used to run just fine here in AZ even in 115 deg weather.
