Ford Cortina Mk I - Restoring a Legend.

Been working on a Cortina Mk I project for the past few months. Found it in a barn – complete time capsule! Bodywork needs some serious attention, but the engine turns over (with a little persuasion!). I'm documenting the whole process, from stripping it down to sourcing parts. Anyone else tackled a Mk I restoration recently? Any tips on finding original trim or dealing with rust in those tricky areas? Would love to hear from you, maybe share some pictures and experiences! Also, any recommendations for suppliers of good quality replacement panels in the UK? Cheers!

I restored a 66 GT around 6 years ago. I bought it as a stripped down and painted shell. Just had to reassemble and find a motor. Very worth while joining the MK1 owners club in the UK. If I remember correctly it's around 80 pounds a year to join but they have a great selection of parts. I had to source some of the rubbers from Australia too. Still haven't figured out how to add pictures on here but I can forward some pictures via email if it helps. Best of luck and looking forward to seeing your progress.
