How many more of you have one?
Next year's the 50th Anniversary,& it'd be nice
to get them out of the woodwork.
I've got a '60 106E,& I'm hoping to get it
going by 2010.

I also have a 1960 (Oct 1959) 106E that is pieces in my garage. I would like to get mine at least on the road by next year even if it's not totally finished but it kind of depends on my "Honey Do List". I finally saw another Anglia in the Seattle area at the All British Field Meet a few weks ago, and met someone else that has one that is being made into a track car.

Lee,

Were you able to talk to the lady who owns that Anglia? I would like to make sure that she is aware of the club and the website.

Lee,

What's the serial number on your Anglia?
The track cars owner's name wouldn't be Steve,
would it?

Sounds like Steve Martin...
(not the comedian)

I think it was Steve Martin, he ahd a real nice Cortina parked right next to the Dani's Anglia. I will check with her to make sure she know about www.EnfoStuff.com.

My Anglia's S/N is 105E-1178, and according to the club historian in England is a pre-production vehicle used for testing or advertisements. After looking at my pictures he told me that my car has several small features that didn't make it into production, and that my car was quite special. It may not be much to look at right now, but it is real solid, and hopefully I can bring it back to its former glory one day.

Man,that is an early number!Mine's 126316.
I hope that you're planning on keeping it original,
with the pre-production parts.

Lee,

I think that I remember talking to Dani on the phone in 1998. At that time she and the Anglia were in Tacoma. I hope she can connect with the rest of us.

Lee,

Glad you got hold of our 105E historian here in the UK. Did you know that your car was featured in the Anglia Club magazine 'Anglebox'? It's even older than mine which is chassis 13080. Your Anglia must have been something to do with Ford themselves as it is a very low chassis number and is an export car. The car featured in the road tests in American magazines was a light colour and I believe your car was originally Cirrus White so you never know! I think Ford had it shipped over pretty quickly although I don't know the date when the 105E was introduced to the American market. Here it was 30th Spetember 1959 and my car was registered on 7th October just one week later. I think it is the oldest one on the road here although I do not drive it very much.

Paul,

I heard that my car made the "Anglebox" Magazine but I haven't seen a copy of it yet. I tried to see if Aubone could scan it and send it to me but I haven't heard back from him. If you have it handy could you scan it and post it for me? I finally joined the club over in England, and should start receiving the magazine pretty soon. If they don't send me a copy of the issue my car is in I will request a back copy and see if they can help me out. Thanks,

Lee

Lee,

I'm not very good with scanning but I think we have one at work which I could probably use. Do you have an email address that I can send it to? You can send it to my address which is racerboy@paulgatty.f2s.com if you wish to keep it private. If you cannot get a copy of the Anglebox magazine from the club let me know and I would be happy to photocopy the article and mail it to you. I keep all my magazines so unfortunately could just send you the bit about your car.

Hi Guys,
Dani and I own the Anglia that Lee posted from the British Field Meet. Dani once owned an Anglia in Tacoma that unfortunately had a carb fire. Years later, burning with desire for another Anglia, we purchased a 1967 105E. Her name is Beatrice. We rebuilt the engine, had her painted and did the interior. We kept her stock and drive her several times a week. It's great to connect with other Anglia owners!

Peace

Mary

By the way, where are you located Michael and how do you remember Dani and 1998?

Mary & Dani,

Welcome to EnFoStuff. I am not too far from you, just down in Olympia. Dani called be about her Anglia back in 1998 when I first become the Director of NAEFR (now EFONA). We talked about her Anglia, but I never heard back. I'm sorry to hear that that Anglia came to a tragic end, but am delighted with the photo of your current car. Good work!

Please stay in touch.
