Its true you don't see many classics on the road in UK . Many classic cars are stolen in UK so owners lock them up when the don't drive them . Fords Like Cortina Lotus , Escort MK1 and 2 RS models are stolen because of their high value others like Cortina MK3 , 4 , 5 and Granadas are stolen because the banger boys like them .
There are many many classics in UK but you will mainly see them on shows , 5th of June we did the Classic Ford show on Santapod and its Ford as far ... no further as the eye can see .

Seen last week at an old car show in Shelton, WA. It's a 1964 Cortina GT in pretty nice condition. The owner is Robert Shick (sp?), he is planning to drive it to the All-British meed in Redmond later this month.

I guess this is the first MK I Fiesta I've seen in about five years.

True, I have not seen one for ages, the last one I did see was in the U.K. lake district. The one in your photo reminds me of my Fiesta, it made a great bike transporter.

A friend gave me that car when an exhaust valve burned and it went on 3 cylinders, he was not mechanically inclined and the body was starting to rust so it was mine for the taking. I repaired the cylinder head and found that the engine had a nice cam and 1300 HC pistons as well as a header, that car went fairly well.
