BUT... The mechanical will be made like a race car, obviusly keeping the original old engine.
A lot of troubles I have jumped like bad people and technical things.
The old engine was born in 1955 with the Taunus G4B 15M in 1500cm3, but later with the P2 and P3 it won more capacity such as 1700cm3 and 1800cm3 (TS format in P3).
Ok, I love all Taunus and I respect them a lot, and I have decided to keep the original 1700cm3 engine (A lot of people told this engine was scrap, but I dont care their bad comments.)
Im not finished the project although you can see my progress.
The cranckshaft, connecting rods, pistons and flywheel (From LIMA 2.3 measures because I need more power) were made all of forjed steel (10,000 rpm without danger).
The race valves are bigger than originals, more of 1 mm more each of diameter.
Camshaft is for race. 40/40 carburator (I cant put 2 because this engine have only 2 inlets. I made a head with 4 inlets, but Im afraid it wont work and I wont put it.)
The head was hard worked, and the engine will be 10:1 compression.
Of course 4 vented dics, 15"/205/50 tires, 5 speed, Panhard bar and others things.
When the car will be finish a common man never will realize the modifications.
I expect 215km/h, because the car have only 970 kg, CX 0.38 and the engine maybe will give me 170 hp.
Here some pics of the project... "Widukindo"
