MK2 horns

Post by rdssdi »

I have a pair of Delco-Remy horns (made in UK) Parts numbers 7952897 and 7592898. Are these from a Cortina?

If not anyone have an old Delco Remy list to determine where they were from?

English Fords imported to the U.S. had horns made by Clear Hooters Ltd.
Delco-Remy supplied horns for GM and possibly other English makes such as your TVR. The #'s you have are for a high and low tone pair. These can usually be cleaned inside by drilling out the rivets.

Would Vauxhall be a good guess for the OEM use of rthese horns?

Yes. Vauxhall / Bedford used Delco Remy; almost all other British manufacturers used Lucas electrics.
