tach vs. speed

Hey everyone!

Its been forever since I've driven my MK1 Cortina Gt and today I was driving 50mph and noticed the tach was at around 4k...is this okay? 3.9 final..

Thanks, Steve. I checked the rpm reading on my MK1 GT at a true 50mph
( 53 mph on the speedo ) it read 3200 rpm. So it maybe a bit further off.
Either way it can be corrected.
