Cortina mk2 windshield size?

I have a 1969 cortina 2dr. GT . I am replacing the windshield and the one I have is a bit smaller than the one I removed. Is this a series issue or 2dr 4dr, and does it matter anyway?

All Cortina Mk2 models ( including Lotus Cortina ) size: 22.8" x 54.2"
All Cortina MK1 " " " " size: 19.6" x 51.6"
Give me your windshield dimensions if not the above size.

I have found the series 1 is smaller than the series 2

I don't have the numbers with me today, but they are both MK2 glass. The difference is small maybe 3/16'" in height, and 3/8" on width. will this glass still work?

Unless it's a FoMoCo windshield an after market one may not be exactly the same size. The windshield seal should compensate the smaller size as long as it's not larger than the original glass.
