Mating Zetec to 2000E

Has anyone done this - specifically mating a 2.0 Zetec to the 2000E 4 speed and what is involved.
A gent is looking to buy my Zetec to stuff into his 1966 Lotus Cortina while he restores the engine but he wants to do a 'bolt in' and not have to move the location of the transmission for obvious reasons.
So is it a straight bolt on (doubtful)
Bellhousing swap?
Suggestions?
