Twin 40's

Post by 1970 cortina GT »

Quick question here, just noticed that the twin cam I bought has one DCOE 40. 18 and one DCOE 40. 31 is this an issue?
Life isn't complete until you have a pair of twin cams in the garage...

Early 18's were used on the Lotus Cortina, Elan, etc. 31/ 35 / 151 are uprated versions of 40's. I believe the 151 has steel throttle shafts 18's are bronze. 18 / 31 are the same casting wise. They should work together as long as the jets are all the same. Pete
