Has any pulled the handle off a front vent window. I can get the handle off but not the shaft that goes thru the glass. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After removing the pin and handle. The chrome holding ring is press fitted on the shaft and can be removed with a small puller. Most likely the seals are worn or gone so the claws of the puller should fit nicely behind the holding ring.

This procedure is for the MK2 '67-10/69. After 10/69 the holding ring screws off.

Thanks Pete. Even though its a 70 I don't think it screws off due to the ring having a flat edge where it goes against the window trim. With a new seal in place the ring wouldn't be able tighten up. I will try with a small puller.
