Bike carbs or Webers

Post by dfonseka_ »

Hi there,
Was looking to swap out the two barrel down draught weber carb on my 1600 kent with something else. I saw a bike carb kit for sale, however I don't really see them on kent engines and was wondering if any one has experience with them in terms of performance and reliability. It was an alternative to the side draught 40mm Weber's that everyone knows and loves (well.. almost everyone) which I was thinking about getting as well. I am driving this car daily so that's also something to keep in mind.

My itchy backside is wanting a little more "pep" if you will.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Daniel

I don't have any experience with that but it looks interesting so I will be watching this post. I thought about it in the past but was wondering how easy it is to tune the carbs to a 1600 x/flow?? A few years ago I was looking at ZZR600 bike carbs on Craigslist and I seem to recall that they were reasonably priced, now I see they do a manifold for them.
