Does anyone know if the 1500 GT head used the same basic casting as the regular 1500 head ? I know they used different valves , springs and port alignment rings but is the basic head casting also different ?

Same basic casting. GT has larger inlet ports.
116E "J" GT and 116E G/H high and low compression for the deluxe.
Letters are stamped underneath the thermostat housing.
