NOS Rubber weatherstrip ID please

Post by carl k »

Hi all-

I have a new old stock English Ford rubber strip piece that I'd like help ID'ing. I can't seem to find it in my Anglia 105E or Cortina Mk1 or Mk2 books. It looks like a door weatherstrip.

The part number is E-259-AD1 or E259 AD 1.

That # doesn't come up on any of the EnFo parts catalogs I have. It's a good #.
I don't have the 103E and Corsair parts books so it maybe from one of those models.

Not sure how helpful this is but I googled the internets and came up with a pdf file of this book....

...which included this...

...so maybe Cortina Mk I?

It's not in the MK1 non-basic part # index but does show up on pg 509 RD
parts list for the Cortina. It seems to be a LH 2 door seal for the Cortina MK1
after all.
