A friend of mine recently picked me up this sign from a boot sale back in Blighty, can anyone tell me where it would originate from? Haven't seen it before. Almost looks like a tyre logo that I remember but can't recall which brand....almost.

Google 1903 Ford Motors sign and you'll see a lot of reproduction stuff in the gallery

My guess it has to do with Fords involvement in aviation. Ford produced the Tri-motor, one of the first commercial aircraft, in the late 20's. The tire with wings logo can be their aircraft maintenance dept.
