Oil Filter #
Looking for part brand and # for Oil filter (cartridge type) for my Mk1 1200cc. Any suggestions. Thanks

I can't remember the cartridge # for the stock oil filter but you might want to consider switching up to a spin on type similar to the one in the link below. I did that for all my Anglia and Cortina powered vehicles, so much easier when doing an oil change.

Hi Brent,
Early 1200cc engines may have a 3.5" cartridge. Later models all had the 5" cartridges. 3.5" and 5" canisters fit on the same oil pump. I have a few 5" filters and canisters if still looking.

Pete, I haven't pulled the current filter so I'm not sure of the dimensions. I might do as Brett mentioned and swap it out with a screw on pump, but really like to keep this original as the entire car is extremely original. I will have to pull the filter too see what it has. Will let you know. Thanks
