This weekend my wife and I drove to Crater Lake in southern Oregon, and we stopped in briefly for a walk around at the ABFM and SOVREN Historics at the Portland International Raceway. Between the pits and the show field, I saw no less than nine Cortinas and Lotus Cortinas! Also, a beautiful 1937 Model Y.
I was surprised when I discovered that my last visit to this event was in 2017. Back in the 2000s I was a regular, getting up before dawn on Saturday to drive my Zepher, and later my Zodiac, the 110 miles or so to the event. I would camp out on Saturday night and drive home on Sunday afternoon after the Sunday Swap Meet.
